Review of the past weeks

Good day all!
Starting from the beginning of the term we started to learn digital design and programming on the basis of mbot robots. So, students tried to assemble and to program it. I think that they had lots of fun controlling the robot by their own instructions. There were some assignments such as robot should pass all the obstacles on his way. It was challenging for them but at least they could make simple codes to do it. Here are some highlights of doing it.

Here are a few pictures and  from the English classes by Ms. Katherine. We have been reading Night of the Living Dummy and learning lots of new vocabulary.  We have also written a letter about an invention describing how it has improved life and increased globalization.

Introduction

Dear Parents,

It’s a great pleasure for me to work as a 7th and 8th grade homeroom teacher. I would like to introduce myself. My name is Aidar Tulbayev. I was born in Ekibastuz city, Kazakhstan. I’m married and I have two children. I graduated from the Suleyman Demirel University in Almaty, Kazakhstan with major hardware and software engineering and later I got my master degree from the same university. I have been working as an ICT and homeroom teacher with secondary and high school students in Kazakhstan for 10 years. And last two years I was working at KazGUU University Astana, Kazakhstan.
This year I will be covering mathematics, design and ICT classes as well. During mathematics classes, we will be learning by MYP by concept 3 Mathematics book, and on design and ICT classes we will be learning digital design and hardware mostly. I will try to make the classes more interesting as well, and I do not want to stay on academics only. I am planning to do activities such as visiting football, rugby matches and etc.

Social studies, English and Science will be covered by Ms. Kapra, Ms. Katherine and Mr. Ugur respectively.
I hope to make this academic year, an educational as well as a fun-filled year for the students. And if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to message me via email: atulbaev@abroadschools.jp or using your jupiter.ed account.
